Peppermint Essential Oil Information and Use:

Peppermint essential oil has a wonderful tingling coolness when applied to the skin (must be appropriately diluted in a carrier oil). It is also very popular as a stomach soother and breath freshener. A couple of drops of peppermint essential oil mixed in tea or water provide great digestive support. Add a tiny amount of essential peppermint oil to your bath or mix into your massage lotions and enjoy a calming, rejuvenating, clearing, refreshing and mentally stimulating self care experience. The oil of Mentha piperita also traditionally has been used in many common inhalant treatments and as an aromatherapeutic enhancer of warm feelings.*

Peppermint Oil (Mentha piperita from the United States) is an ingredient used in massage oils, facial steams, hair care and as a formula ingredient.

Caution: Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.  Dilute properly before use.  If pregnant or nursing a baby, consult a doctor before use.  KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

Note: Not recommended for use at same time of certain homeopathic remedies as mint will effect the benefits of certain homeopathic remedies (although not all homeopathic remedies).  If unsure if the homeopathic remedy you are taking will be affected by mint, we recommend you consult with your homeopathic physician or take the homeopathic remedy 1 hour apart from using mint.

Environmental Fragrance Use:

• Use a diffuser to release micro particles of Peppermint essential oil into the air.
• Place a cotton ball scented with Peppermint in the vacuum cleaner bag.
• Use cotton balls scented with Peppermint in drawers to scent clothing.
• Place a drop of Peppermint on a light bulb incense ring.
• Add a drop of Peppermint to your rinse water when washing clothes.
• Add 24 drops of Peppermint essential oil to a cup of water in a ceramic or glass container and shake well to create your own room spray or air freshener.
• Add six to ten drops of Peppermint essential oil to potpourri when its fragrance has faded.

Suggested Dilutions:

Massage Oils & Ointments: 10-30 drops of Peppermint essential oil per pint of carrier oil.

Compresses & Lotions: 1-5 drops of Peppermint essential oil per ounce.

Inhalation: 6-12 drops of Peppermint essential oil in warm water, vaporizer, or diffuser.

Bath Water: 5-10 drops of Peppermint essential oil.
